Lost: Orange Roc -> finders, keepers - 2006/07/24 11:41
I hit a tree slightly on the last hole and my Roc started to fade left and out of sight. I have no idea where it went.
So, if you find an orange DX Roc with name "Henry Lehto" on it, please do keep it (or better yet, give it to a beginner) - in case you are not planning to come to Finland in the near future.
In case you come to Finland, I strongly recommend my home course, the Tali Course in Helsinki. (see http://www.tallaajat.org)

Hopefully you picked up a De LaVeaga stamped disc so you at least go home even. Did you like Dela? How does it compare to your courses at home?
It amazes me how many people from around the world make it a point to stop and play De LaVeaga. What a cool thing. Hope she treated you well (except for the lost disc) http://www.santacruzdisc.com

I liked it. I'd say it has a bit shorter holes on average than our local course. I rank De Laveaga higher than our local course, which is a big praise: only three courses I've played beat our course: 1) the Järva Disc Golf Park in Stockholm, Sweden, 2) the temporary course in Tampere that hosted European Championships (and will host European Open this year) and 3) De Laveaga.
I also played La Mirada, which was very nice also, but there were quite a lot of non-discgolfers parading around the course, so I had to watch out. La Mirada was more pleasing to the eye, but in terms of playing, I definitely preferred De Laveaga.
If there was something I did not like, it was the fact that there is a basket that is right next to the parking lot. I guess that novice players (and unlucky pros) might dent the cars there.
I enjoyed especially the fact that it had 27 holes. We don't have more than 18-hole courses here in Finland. However, there are currently more than 55 courses in Finland (total population around 5 million), so I can't complain.
