2005 AM Worlds update(s) - 2005/08/08 06:39
Hi All,
Dan Carl and I arrived on Saturday, played 2 of the 4 courses (NAU and Thorpe) before calling it a day. The host hotel has fast internent access, so I'll try to post each day and give you my 2 cents worth.
Yesterday (Sunday) we played the temp course at the host hotel (Little America), then tried to play SnoBowl (on a ski resort). It started dumping so we split after 6 holes. We later returned and finished most of it before dark. It's tough hiking and throwing at 9500 ft!!
NorCal has done well so far! Dan Corbett and Sam Aldrich won the doubles under 19 tournament on Saturday. On Sunday we had the field events: long distance, putting, and EDGE skills. It was humbling to see kids

Sounds like things are going as expected weather wise. If you need more space for your posts, you might want to consider doing http://www.discgolfblog.com/ . It's another one of Marty's sites. You could just post here that there was an update.
Nice finish on the putting contest. You know that putting is where it gets done *grin*.

Hey All,
Dan and I just finished Little America. Dan had a +1 and I ended up -4 (w/2 bogeys, one coming on the easiest hole!!). James (Chris) Wood had a hot round of -6 with one bogey. Not sure about too many others, but NorCal folks were doing well!

All of you guys have a HUGE cheering section back here in Norcal. Don't worry though...we'll keep quiet while you're putting.
