XCEL Spreadsheet Bagtag Link - 2008/04/04 21:14
I think that we all know that a bag tag is only as valuable as the amount of times you defend it.
I think we all also know that we don't have all the time in the world to defend it every Thursday.
For these reasons, I think it would be very useful to start a simple Xcel chart which tracks players' progress in bagtags from week to week. This file could be linked easily to the Dela site. Maintaining the page would take 5 minutes per week after the initial time needed to input names and create the chart itself.
So, what do you say? Stan/Marty/others - could you create a link? Jason/whoever - would you be willing to update the results every week?
I will create the file. I would need access to all the names of course. Does anyone have access to the March monthly results, and ideally also a list of who walked away with each bagtag at the monthly?

Good idea and good for you to Step Up and do it Jamie. Also, is this chart only for the Thursday Night Bag Tag? because there are people out there that play for Bag Tags other than Thursday night.

I am hoping to enter any and all bagtag rounds, not just Thursday nights.
Just enter the date, full names, score and new tag # on the bagtag tracking thread.
I am still waiting for Stan to create a link to the Dela site so we can all see the spreadhseet, but for now I am maintaining the spreadsheet at home.

Creating a link to just a spreadsheet doesn't work very well for something like this. The file would have to be stored somewhere and then continually re-uploaded when it changes. The best thing, for now, would be for you to create a live spreadsheet using Google documents and then post the URL here for all to see. Then you can just edit it online and everyone will see the changes. You can also give other people permission to edit the online spreadsheet if you want help updating it.

I was going to recommend the same thing.

Thanks Stan and Matt,
I'll do that. I agree that the Goodle documents format would be easier and more accessible for everyone.
Thanks
