Re:June 19, 2005 Doubles tournament - 2005/06/09 11:00
I didn't realize it had come up last year with this same event. I was just beginning to wake up from my disc golf 'hibernation' at that point.

Anyways - we should probably take this entire discussion to email or a meeting or something of that sort

Re:June 19, 2005 Doubles tournament - 2005/06/09 11:20
True Dave. Not too worry.

Back to more important matters.

Ed, I agreed to move and take care of the grounds, which I prefeer, until election time, which should be very soon?

To that end I have started the basket rotation. The postions are posted on the baord, and on hole 1.

*The excpetion is that 23 right sleve has been damaged so that did not move. I have ordered a replacemnet sleve, plus one extra from DGA.

(We need to have a work day to get that replaced and 18 sponsor sign reset in the ground.) The mowing is being done here & there by Marty DT & I. The mowers are unlocked if any one wants to help.

DGA does not make the plexi sign covers- so I am ordering those seperate.

As for the rotation and when it moves. The thought was that the rotaion moves after the monthly. That way, the course is set and practiced for a month, the monthly is played in that layout, and then it moves right after. Otherwise, the monthly would be played on a less familair layout.

Does that make sense?

Daviar, are you Ok with that plan?

I'd also like to appologize if I have upset anyone about the DC situation. I have known DC a long time now. I respect him and I like him very much, so I hope you all understand that non of this is personal, just a little tuff love

I'm sure we can find a way to work together, and I really think the best way to settle this thing now is the idea that DDGC sponsors DCs event by waiving the requested donation fee.

Win / Win

DDGC sponsors the event, and the event pays no added fee.

That gives everyone a gracefull way out, and a precedent for next year.

Thoughts?

So the tournament is tomorrow. Does anyone know if it's random draw or pick your partner?

From what I understand it's like normal sunday doubles, teams consisting of an A & B pool player, but for 15 dollars a person and with the best/worst/alternating format of course.

Hope we get paired up!

Yeah Jim, that would be cool!

I also heard from Frank that it starts at 9:00am instead of regular Sunday doubles 9:30am. I'll see you all there.

So, what's the skinny?

How did the tournament go? Did any of the club members playing suggest that players pay the iron ranger? Hope so...

Who won? How did the match ups go?

Ed
