Re:SF Safari - 8/20-21/2005 - 2005/08/17 16:16
Hey Daviar,

My plans have changed and I will be able to pick up the bagels from Noah's afterall. (sorry for the confusion)

I will also pickup the banner on friday. I have FedExKinkos giving me a few different size proofs to see if the image is good. Here is a smaller preview of the image that I used.

Looking forward to this weekend!

Go DeLa!!

It does seem as though this needs to be a club and/or private discussion.

However, I say it is a great idea, especially less than a month away from Nor Cal finals. What a good way to be there with a strong De La showing. If club members choose not to hang by the tent, so be it. If they do, great.
If it is a good idea, we'll find out on Saturday. Who knows, maybe the club will start a new trend among Nor Cal.

per group involved the preceeding discussions about the use of the Club Tent[s] for the Safari has been taken elsewhere.

also, at least one, if not both tents, will be offered to the SFDGC for their use if they choose [good idea j_steele]....

also, we will be seeking volunteers to help in transporting baskets and placing and them at the event this weekend. again, another way that the DDGC helps our sister clubs....come out to the bag tag challenge tonight to find out more on how you can help.

did you know that the DDGC went in on halves to buy a basket at the somewhat permanent course in GoldenGate park?

can you guess who paid for the other half? you betcha

Howdy --

Maps of the courses to be used for this year's Safri are now up (thanks Neil Bondy!):

East & West Courses here:
ftp://ftp.cadmasters.com/Neil/Safari/Safari_Map_2005.pdf

Marx Meadow here:
ftp://ftp.cadmasters.com/Neil/Safari/Marx_Meadow_2005.pdf

Our fearless Tournament Director Rob Byers will be at tournament cental (25th and Lincoln) from 3-7pm tomorrow (Friday) checking players in and handing out players packs -- the courses will be marked for pre-tourney play. If you do not get there tomorrow, sign-in and players packs will happen on Saturday from 7:30-8:15 (even
though almost everyone has already paid they must sign in).

Mandatory players meeting at 8:30.

Have fun!

Ross

For anyone who does not buy lunch, I ordered a couple 6-foot subs and will have them available at the Dela Tent on Saturday. If it goes over well, I'll do the same on Sunday. Will probably have some chips too.
