Re:August 2005 Monthly, 8/6/2005 - 2005/08/04 17:39
I would have to say that I support the St. Francis event, but that is not DeLa and that is not the monthly. The monthly has been held at DeLa on the first Sat of the month for over 20 years. The scheduling conflict is unfortunate, but that is that. The monthly should remain the same. The only time this is not true in my experience, is when there has been another event at DeLa that trumps, i.e. Master's Cup.

We may have people that know about the event or that see that we say on our site,
The DeLaVeaga Disc Golf Club has hosted a monthly tournament held the first Saturday of every month since 1984, routinely drawing players from all over California and beyond. The monthly starts about 9:00am with an entry fee of $5.00.

Having a second round elsewhere, i.e., Black Mouse, Harding's Ranch, in the afternoon is one thing, but moving the event because of another event is another. This months tourney isn't being cancelled or moved because of the Frying Pan or the Am Worlds...
Just my two cents.

Geez, that's more like a buck and a half Rob! And, I agree with you. Be a DeLa junkie, it's the only way to fly.

I agree completely with Rob (for once).

The monthly is an institution that should not be trumped by any non-Dela tourney.

I may support Wayne and play the St. Francis, but I am of the understanding that I will have to choose between the two events.
