2005 Monthlies and recording scores - 2005/03/02 21:55
Although I do not regularly play in the monthlies, I am trying to change that. But even if I don't play in them, I am always curious who played and what they shot.
I am willing to deal with entering scores in Marty's discgolftournaments.com database, although it might not be the best use of that service. But in order to do this, whoever is running the monthly needs to make note of first and last names, division, score, and (ideally) PDGA # and payout. As we try to drum up more interest in the club and the course, I think having facts about players, scores, and cash earned is a bonus.
Stan P. has promised to get the Feb 2005 results to me, and unless there is an easier way, I am willing to post them in Marty's database. It would be cool to have a quick way to dump scores into this site, perhaps even as a jpeg of an Excel table, but I'm not savvy about that kind of web interaction.
Please pass along your thoughts on this! Cheers, Steve

hi steve,
there are several ways the scores can be entered here.
first, your choice about using discgolftournaments.com would be good, however, it is my intention [amongst other chores] to port that program to this site, so that it can be used by the club on it's own website. unfortunately, with the advent of the Masters Cup, my non-work, playing, wife-time is devoted to getting the event together....when that is done, and then the World Disc Games is behind me...then maybe i can get that to happen...
in the interim, i can set you up as an 'author' of this website, if you are not already, and i would be happy to show you how easy it is to dump an excel spreadsheet or some other document into this program....
i also have scores in spreadsheet form that date back to 1984, i think.
