Central valley Series--Fresno January 21, 2006 - 2005/12/22 11:26
For those of you interested, the CVS has lots of one-day events between now and April 2006.

Fresno course January 21, 2006
Player's meeting 8:30 AM
Pro divisions $35
Am Advanced (1), Masters, GM $30
Am Intermediate (2) $25

Tim Guild, the TD, said they have a Pro Womens division with 2 already signed up.

Send checks to Tim at
6576 North Meridian
Fresno, CA 93710

or call 559-297-7475 with questions

I played the course for the first and only time last yr, and it was fun. He said six holes have been lengthened and the course is currently in the tournament layout... There's a good mix of hard and easy holes. Some are quite long.

Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve, I'm going to go to this one. Do you want to car pool? I'll send out the entry fee the day after Christmas. I'm assuming that your playing pro, does that mean that I should also .

Hi Stan,

Sounds good to me! I tend to leave early enough in time to get 3-5 holes in prior to the actual start. Forgot how long it took last time... I think it's like 180 miles? About 3 hr? If we left by 0430 hr, that'd be plenty of time. It's a cool course.

Hey, play AM 1--at least one of us will bring home some loot!

Take care and Happy New Year!

Great! I like to get there early also, so 4:30 is perfect. Since you live in Santa Cruz, I'll just meet you at your place. Unless you take 152 over cause I'm in Watsonville. I'll give you my phone number next time we see each other.

Hi All,

Just wanted to let folks know Stan Pratt took home the big loot from the CVS tournament at Fresno. Had he played open, his -6 (102) would have tied him for third place with Harold Hampton in Open.

Stan and I had a blast, and if anyone else is interested in cruising with me to the Hanford Open this Saturday (Feb 4th), the TD said he'd likely not fill and would gladly take your money the day of the tournament...

Congrats Stan!
Steve

aw, shucks. Thanks Steve.

I second that. Fresno was great fun, well run, and only one day! If you can make it to Hanford it promised to be great fun also. I did a write up on my blog (http://www.discgolf.com/content/view/277/123/) it's the entry before this one.
