Some of you may have seen me walking the course last week with a GPS unit. The map I made turned out quite well. This was just a preliminary run to see how much signal I can get through the trees. Unfortunately, the average accuracy of these points is only +/- 30 feet. Now that I know it works well, I'm going to retrace the course on a high accuracy setting. I also have new distances between tee and pin but their accuracy is currently +/- 60 feet and will mean more after I retrace the course and average the points. Until then, I wanted to share the map I made.

Oh yeah, I'm curious... I was just comparing the distances I measured from tee to pin and comparing them to the recorded distances. Mine seem to be much shorter. I have been measuring from tee to pin as the crow flies. It seems the official measurements are aligned to the fairway and the most practical path.
Which is most preferable?

Good work Will. When do you think you'll be doing the more precise measurements? I would like to get a copy of the data to use with AutoCad and some high resolution digital photographs that I have.
Also, do you have a scale for the figure that was already uploaded? I didn't see a scale on the figure.
