So my dad told me a month ago that if i wanted to open up a coffee shop be would buy me one... sweet i said... so i've been doing a lot of planing and i was just waiting for the right spot. Hoots video next to DJ's went out of business so i had a meeting with the owner and we decided to lease it. The next day the lady called us back and told us that we cant open a coffee shop because it would interfer with Dj's mourning coffee rush... Fuck thats dumb.. so we started to look for another spot when the lady called us back and made a suggestion. Anyways long story short Kristy has a deli cafe... we signed the papers today!!!!! Its going to be called , "The SweetSpot" cause we are going to have sandwhiches, frozen yogart, coffee, salads, pasrties, bagels and many more. Eventually i want to sell disc too.. So this is going to take a while to open but we will support all dela tournaments with free coffee and 10% off to all disc golfers.. So when you see it open come in help support my dream. Thanks

Well thats good news to hear. Yeah I was very suprised when I saw the sign that hoots is closing, wonder why? probably couldnt compete with the big videos stores/etc ? or another reason. Also that is screwed about the deal with DJ's not wanting a coffee shop next door, they have plenty of other business(discs/food/beer/etc.) Anyway I wish you good luck, not a easy task.

Hoots closed because the owner has another shop in Soquel (or Aptos - somewhere in that vicinity of the county) and it's getting to be too much for her. She's had both of them going for a loooong time.
