2006 USGDC - 2006/10/10 22:03
Well tomorrow's the first round and we've got amore than a few locals to root on.

The tee times are here:tee times(pdf)

Live scoring will be here: live scoring

Dela golfers in the mix:
Nate (The Champ) Doss will be looking to show once again that he's one of the best in the world.
Myles Harding is working to make the step up into the elite ranks.
Steve Lonhart making his first USDGC appearance has the game and could surprise a lot of people.
Marty Hapner is testing the yellow rope once again.
Carrie "Burl" Berloger recieved a sponsers exemption and will be looking to beat lot's of guys out there and make the cut.

Other California golfers to watch:
Steve Rico. I think Stevie has a great chance to win this year. I'm looking for him to do a Dave Feldburg and prove that he's a champion.
Kyle Crabtree was the 2005 Nor Cal rookie of the year and is playing really well.
Josh Anthon is coming off of his best season yet and will definitely playing to win.
Gregg Barsby is another California young gun that can bring it to the elite level.

Should be fun to follow!

I forgot to mention one other play from NorCal that will be fun to follow. John Child has been shooting really well and is one of the top lefties playing.

Scores have been coming in. Steve finished at a strong -2 and Myles came in even. John finished up at -5.

Nate has had a strong start at -3 after only 6 holes and Josh Anton is shooting the hot round so far at -9 after 12 holes.

Barry, Ken, and David haven't teed off yet. Avery Jenkins is the clubhouse leader at -8.

Go Cali!

Josh Anthon shoots a blistering -11 to lead so far. There are still some big guns out there though.

Nate has come in at -6. I'm sure he would have wanted to start off better, but he's certainly not out of it. Marty is shooting solid golf, hanging around at even after 12 holes.

Wow! Here's a surprise. Ken Climo comes in at -1. He must have had a rough last few holes because he was -4 after 12.

(I know I'm talking to myself, but it's better than working *grin*)
