Help with debris - 2007/03/15 06:16
It won't be long before the mowers are out getting the course ready for the Masters Cup (help with that is always needed), so the maintenance crew is asking for people to help now, by moving debris off the course so the mowers can work easier. When you see items such as limbs, wood, rocks, etc, just toss them off the grass.

Thanks (and of course, pack your trash) -Katie

I am pretty much always willing to help. Though my time is limited, since I
only have tuesday and sunday off. Yes its pretty easy to move some debris off the fairways while playing a round of dg, for the most part.

Will do! Glad you mentioned it. Hadn't thought about clearing for the mowers.

I believe the next scheduled mowing/maintenance day is Saturday March 31, so head to the course and help out.

Work parties - 2008/04/03 05:46
Daviar says...

Hi everybody!

This is Daviar calling.

The April monthly is this weekend and we're having a work day in the afternoon. We will provide a lunch for you if you want to stay and do a little mowing, cleaning up...that sort of thing.

I understand it's a big commitment to stay all day and I'm not really expecting anyone to do that. A couple of hours or so would still get you a cheeseburger for lunch.

The mowers should be up at the course from Saturday on through the Masters Cup. And god knows...nobody needs MY permission to grab a working mower and chop some grass.

Sunday and the following weekend will be "official" workdays also (see schedule below). It's time to rally the troops and get the course all spruced up after a windy winter season.

Please let me know if you're interested in helping out on any of the workdays - sent me a message to delaveagadaviar@gmail.com

Let's get it on.

Daviar

April Monthly and work day - April 5th
Monthly tee off is 9:30am
Work day officially starts around 23pm

Workdays - April 12 & 13 - Anytime after 9am

All week for the next two weeks - mowing, raking, wood chipping, trash patrol, etc

Masters Cup AM - April 18, 19 & 20
If you plan to play, you better get signed up at http://www.delaveagadiscgolf.com
If you'd like to volunteer, just shoot me an email. There is SHWAG for volunteering...

Every "official" workday, the DDGC will provide a lunch for in exchange for a decent day's work.
