San Francisco Safari - 2007/07/09 19:42
If your thinking about playing in the Safari make sure to sign up early. This tournament fills up very early. We tend to have a great turnout from Dela so the club will be setting up a tent and we'll have lunch for the DDGC club members on Saturday (huge killer sub sandwiches). I haven't had a chance to play the course since it's re-opened, but I've heard nothing but great things about it.

I played the course the day after the Grand Opening the SFDGC had and it was very impressive. Hats off to the volunteers/etc who help with the course. I would love to play in it, but most likely will have to work. Any idea time frame of it filling up?

I know that Russ and Rob Hapner are looking to secure a special rate at a hotel where a bunch of the golfers are getting rooms. If they don't chime in with details give em a call.
BTW, in case any body missed it, Chris lit it up at the Tahoe Open Nor Cal tournament (Results). Looks like Chris is serving notice to the top pros that he's on his way there. On another note if you cashed at this event, they discovered an error in the money calculations. Here's a message from the esteemed Steve Ganz:
Due to initial miscalculations, all Open players that finished in the money will be receiving an additional amount to their payout. The amount will be the difference between what is reported and the amount that they received. Players can see Mr. Neal at any NorCal Series event for direct payment or email mrnealh at comcast dot net to request a check. http://www.santacruzdisc.com
