I forgot to mention that based on my inexact science, current configuration rates 3.11 on a difficulty scale of 1 to 5, with 12 holes long, 10 short, and six neutral. Do you agree? Disagree? Have a better way to rate the layout? Let us know!

I've talked to Marty about coming up with a good way of doing course ratings. Use scores from players who placed in the money and average those scores for the exact pin locations for the holes. Do this for the entire course then you have a course rating. Am's can then play the course, log their scores and come up with a working handicap.
I do like your thinking Jack. This is just spice for thought.

Well I still have trouble with lots of things in Disc Golf therefore my ideas/etc are not up to what most are.
I wonder why some holes never get changed? ex: hole #3, #8

Have you guys signed up with DiscgolfU.com and use there handicap/ score tracker? Why not care about your handicap, right? Is DeLa interested in hosting a Handicap League or Season? Doubles and Monthlies are just not hitting the spot for me.
P.S. Course rating stuff is cool! Does dela have a pdga rating yet?

I don't think the course has an official rating yet. I haven't read the PDGA ratings thread in a long time, but I know it involves somebody taking some time to go through their calculations and such. That would be cool to learn more about.
We are hoping to introduce a handicap league come spring that will involve a website that you don't have to pay for (Each players has to pay for DiscGolf United). This is still in the planning phase and we will start to talk about it more at the club meetings. We would love to have more people way in on this at the meeting. http://www.santacruzdisc.com
