In the coming months it's going to be quite obvious why having an entity with a large support base is going to be important to De LaVeaga. The city is stepping up their involvement in the course. Right now, that's being limited to solving the erosion problems that the area has, but with the additional attention the course will be receiving also will com additional scrutiny. If the DDGC has a large membership it will have more say and pull with the city in regards to specific issues regarding the course. If 5 people complain about some holes being shut down (this is just a "what if" scenario) the city isn't going to pay much attention. If an organization with 300 members complains, they are going to notice.
There are also opportunities that may be opening up for the club to get approval to do more in the way of improvement to the course itself. This is going to take resources. The more members the more resources. http://www.santacruzdisc.com

Okay Mr. Pratt thanks for clearing it up. I didn't want to make a big ordeal out of it, just was wondering what the big deal was about saying we need a Big Turn out for the club memberships.
Like I said before, I do want to join the club, but don't see eye to eye with everyone and everything. That goes with many things in life and you find work arounds for it, how ever you can. Sometimes it means not affiliating yourself with a certain group and I don't want to do that for this group and don't see me doing so either.

Im going to play this year, but I did film the otter open last year(now on youtube). I will bring my camera in hopes of finishing before pros. Cant do much right now for still photography, just video. Ill come say hi if I see you.
