Thanks for the information. One aspect that I have not heard mentioned yet is the issue of the city charging for parking. Once they pay for a paved parking area, I assume they will want to recoup some of the cost as well as collect funds to pay for maintaining it.
Personally, I hate the idea of paying to park. But if it happens, there needs to be a push from members to opt to buy annual (and affordable) parking passes/permits. The city will have to enforce the rule, which means lots of folks will be ticketed in the beginning. It will be a bummer.
There are also hole changes, and from what I understand, #27 may move once a catchment basin is placed in that area. I think altering the signature hole of the course is something all disc golfers would be interested in...
If we aren't involved from the beginning, we'll have no say in the end.
Let's hope for the best...but plan for the worst. Steve

I believe the Pay to play or pay for parking is a BUNCH OF GARBAGE and that is my one bickering point. You see, we are doing the city a Great Service by playing Disc Golf. 1) Keeeping the park clean 2) Errosion Control 3) Maintenance
and more.
But this does not give/allow us to have a free ride by no means.

All the specifics mentioned by Steve are excellent reasons why we need to show the city a much stronger club presence than we currently display. Most of the people reading this forum are already on board to some degree, but we need each of you to drive the point home with everyone else you know that plays DeLa.
