Black Mouse - 2008/03/12 00:02
What's the status of Black Mouse these days? I haven't been there in about five years... is it still there? How many baskets are there?
I'm visiting from Portland this weekend and wanted to give BM a try now that I actually know how to play disc golf.
Hopefully I'll also get down to CSUMB to tackle that "Oaks" course again...

Hi Adam,
You'll be happy to know BM is happy and alive. They have even put tee signs in, however they are waiting for sponsorships so the signs are blank...completely, like no maps.
You should definitely check it out...it is a fun course and is getting more play these days. I think some people are even trying to organize a bag tag challenge there on Wed.'s at 3pm.

Good to know. If people are talking about Wed. 3pm events, I take it that means you can play starting at 3pm on weekdays?
How many holes? The last map I saw had 16, but the pdga.com page says 18.

Black Mouse is in great shape right now. 16 baskets and 18 tee pads(if your local). Tee signs are almost all installed and tee pads have been repaired. The fairways are and tree limbs have been manicured and plays great. If your earlier than 3, just sneak around.
Oh yeah, still wont see another group on the course, like golf solitude! I guess except wensdays? BM bag tags sound fun. Thanks, whoever has been putting in time to fix the place up.

A few months ago I found a map online that was credited to "Paul Franzosa"; good thing I made a copy, because it seems to have gone missing from the original site. Does this look like it's mostly correct?
