See Mark Karleskind (DeLa Disc Guy, has the van at the parking lot) about info for an option to play (this Saturday, June 24th, 2005) the really cool, very different private course that will host a fundraiser in July. If you've never played the course, check it out. And last year the fundraiser was a blast!

The Shafer Park course is very cool. A great opportunity to play it in prep for the annual St Francis fund raiser.
Does anyone know the date of the St. Francis this year?

Mark told me that he wants to be at Shaffer by 9am on Saturday. He also said he plans to go up to DeLa before that. I might too just in case anybody wants to follow who hasn't played there before. Don't forget your rosary beads for good karma.

Hi John,
This AM at Shaffer Park, Mark K. said the St. Francis Charity Cup tournament would be the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend--I think that's September 4th? It is for sure Labor Day weekend. So no conflict with 24hr discathon.
For those of you who have not yet played Shaffer Park, it is a treat! Very challenging. Good shots are rewarded with potential birdies, while anything slightly off line is quickly punished.
And the "baskets" are a trip--very fun and very challenging.
Thanks for Mark K. for setting this up! My three kids and I had a blast!! And I was very happy to shoot a 77 on the 26-hole course.
