I need ideas on accomodations in SC this weekend. What is the deal with camping in the area? What is a dirt cheap hotel? I am starting on this terribly late and need to take care of this really quickly. Any thoughts?

Henry Cowell Redwood State Park offers camping, which imo is pretty good. $13/night, $.25 showers (clean). It's probably less than 10 miles to the course, it's actually really close, just kinda tricky find if your unfamiliar with the area. It's off graham hill road.
The cheap hotels are baaaaaad!!! Camping is the way to go.

I am not sure about the rates, but, I know some folks stay in Watsonville, about a half hour south on hiway one [leave really earlier on Friday if you play in the morning as traffic northbound on hiway one can be a pain ], at the Motel 6 . Other Watsonville Area Lodging Info..
