Sticks in Sleeves (ruined holes) - 2006/04/17 10:31
On Saturday I went out into the back holes to check on some trees I planted last winter.
I was very dissapointed to find that some (*&%$@#!@) had put broken tree branches into the vancant sleeves of holes 13, 14 & 15 presumeably so they could play object golf on holes they should not be on in the first place.
Here is what happens when they do that. The sleeves, filled with water rots the branch then the wood breaks off into the sleeve, so that the basket can not be put back in, thereby ruining the hole for everyone. This is exaclty what has happened recently on Hole 17.
Had some selfish person(s) not put a stick in that sleeve and ruined it, there would be a basket there now.
If you are doing this or know someone who is doing this, please ask them to stop.
