Re:Tahoe Pro Am - 2006/07/10 13:00
Nate Doss dominated, setting a new course record of -11 at zephyr cove during the first round of the tourney. He beat out some folks like Dave Feldberg and Gregg Barsby, for whom the Tahoe pro/am/ king of the lake double title was named (it has changed since David Malolepszy won both tourneys in the grandmasters division- to which Barsby replied "I didn't lose the title because an open player didn't win it"... sounds like he was a little sore after being dominated by a santa cruzer). I was doing strong at two behind the leader in the advanced division, but fell apart in the last round and tied for 14th with Tom Witt, who had a rough start with a brand new bag of discs (after losing his old one) but came back strong. We still cashed and I walked away with a couple max weight teerexes and a star aviar... good stuff. Tom McGraw had a strong showing and finished second in advanced masters. Locals definitely had the advantage since the altitude was making everything turn left and/or fly past the basket all weekend.
