Since you're getting analytical about why CA produces better disc golfers (we're past "if" by now, heh-heh), consider the fact that we can play all year 'round, unlike many other parts of the country. College baseball is much stronger in CA, TX, FL, and thereabouts for much the same reason.

Having played more than 100 courses across the country by now, I can also say that we have more varied and challenging courses that force you to learn a greater variety of different shots. That's why NorCal produces more top players than any other entire state, or even region. DeLa, Stafford Lake, OV, Grass Valley/PennValley, CSUMB . . . all these courses are better in terms of overall challenge to one's shot-making ability than 95 percent of the courses I've played elsewhere.
