This hole appears to be a perfect hole for left-handers, and in some senses it is. The layout is a classic left to right arc with a reasonably elevated tee, and plenty of open space on the left side until just before the basket. An oak tree in front of the tee (but down the hill a little) needs to be dealt with, which should not change the shot much. Righthanders love to throw rollers that just clear this oak before heading for the hard-packed fairway and hopefully turning over toward the basket. But back to the airshot. Tall redwoods and douglas firs tightly guard against throws coming in. The green is a clearing around 40 feet across surrounded on all sides with thick, mature trees.
