Hole 8A Print E-mail
User Rating: / 5
PoorBest

This hole is the latest permanent hole added to DeLa, necessary due to the removal of hole 17 as a permanent hole. 8A sits between 8 and 9, along the access road with the OB road close to the left, and wooded ravine to the right. Both pin placements (straight ahead and right) offer the chance for a straight, easy birdie as well as trouble should your drive hit an early tree.

No matter which pin position you are playing, the first objective is to get through a narrow gap between Eucalyptus trunks and mature Oaks. Between the tee and this gap, the fairway dips down in the middle as well as to right (which is the case for the length of the hole). Miss this gap and you are likely to ricochet off a tree into the woods short of the hole, or even left into the OB road.
