There will be a Masters Cup meeting at Woodstock Pizza on Wednesday at 6pm. If you would like to help us in the planning process or have agenda items you'd like to bring to the table (besides beer and pizza) - you are more than welcome to attend.

Well the time has finally come for my first trip out to Cruz for the Masters Cup.
I had this trip planned 2 years ago and b/c of work related issues wasn't able to make it.

I have scoured everything on the web related to De La, and spent many nights slowly perusing the course hole descriptions and trying to imagine everything.

Daviar:
Thanks for calling me back and answering my questions, I now have a flight from Denver planned to arrive early Thurs. AM and fly out Monday afternoon.

Anyone on here want to keep my jones satisfied and talk Masters Cup?
Peace
Alex

Alex, you are most definitely going to want to get one of the full-color fundraising discs for the 2010 Masters Cup. Art done by Jimbo Phillips (famous Santa Cruz surf/skate artist), it is a view from Dela's Hole 27 (a.k.a. "Top of the World"). I think it is the best graphic the MC has produced yet!!! Will be edge-to-edge printed on a DGA Squall disc.

I think they will be $25, we should have them sometime in Feb. Only 150 being produced, they will be numbered, GET 'EM WHILE THEY'RE HOT!

We'll do a formal announcement here when they are available for sale, but if you post an email address, I will make sure to send you an email personally.

There, did that help your Jones?

Perfect!
How did you know that I'm a rabid collector especially of tourney discs.
I'll be grabbing one and will PM you my email.

So who is the consensus Adv. local that is expected to win?

On another note:
Daviar,
I know you said that there would not be merch paid out fot the AM's, and that it was going into the players pack, so I was wondering what the PP is looking like these days?

What other courses in the area are MUST plays while I'm out?
Black Mouse footage looks sweet!

Wow.
This place is a veritable hotbed of discussion.

What do I NEED to do while out in beautiful santa Cruz?

Is there a consensus about hardest hole on the course?

Come on people, give me anything.

Any hole at Dayla can be daunting with OBs, Trees and cliffs or steep hillsides any bad tree-bounce or roll can cost you dearly.
although often regarded as the toughest is I-5 (hole 13) got its name because that's what you usually say after finishing that hole -- I 5'd, it has been birdied by a few local legends.
You should play Dayla every day you can, your stay is short and the course is long with plenty to be aware of before playing the Master's Cup.
If you have a choice, arriving Wednesday would be better, to give you a full day at the course.

Also, there should be Thursday tag rounds happening by that time of the year, a great place to see skilled locals play the course.

Are you flying into San Jose?
